Samantha Mohr
Mohr, one of the UGA student, who recommended her to participate in her in the Miss Columbus 1985 pageant, she won the contest. Mohr then was eligible to compete in the Miss Georgia pageant, which occurred in June 1985. Mohr took home her title as Miss Georgia 1985 on 22nd June, 1985. Mohr took home more than 3500 dollars in scholarship money and additional prize money at the state pageant. The Miss Georgia was a part of her. Georgia as well as made public appearances all over Georgia as part of her duties. Mohr participated as Georgia at Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City (New Jersey) in September 1985. Mohr was able to determine the likelihood that Susan Akin would win Miss America through computer-generated modeling. The odds of winning were 22:1. Mohr was not on the list of the top 10 contenders for the Miss America crown. Mohr's time as Miss Georgia lasted until she named her successor, Marlesa Ball, Miss Georgia 1986 on June 28th, 1986.
